Tonbridge Angels slipped to a narrow 1–0 defeat away at Chippenham Town, despite a competitive, hard-working display and a missed second-half penalty that could have changed the game.
Across his 74 minutes on the right side of midfield, Tom Leahy was one of Tonbridge’s most influential runners. He consistently drove the team up the pitch with powerful ball-carrying, and just as importantly, produced a huge amount of unselfish off-the-ball work — covering for team-mates, tracking runners, and helping maintain the defensive shape in a scrappy match where concentration mattered.
Tom’s timed bursts into the box were a real threat throughout. He made several intelligent late runs beyond the forwards that often weren’t spotted early enough by team-mates; with quicker, more targeted passes into those movements, Tonbridge could easily have created clearer chances and altered the rhythm of the game.
Leahy's heat map reflects his conditioning, fitness and game involvement: strong activity down the right inside channel, covering across the line, repeated recovery work, and regular advanced positions during attacking phases.
A committed, team-first performance in a tight match where small margins decided the result.
